The Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, Mr Bamidele Salam stated in Abuja at a Private Sector Engagement on Public Finance Management Dialogue with the theme: ‘Nigeria’s Fiscal Policy and the Private sector.
Mr Salam called for more collaborations with Civil Society Organisations CSOs and other private organisations to ensure transparency in the management of finances both within the public and private sector.
‘’We need to work together because we have a country to build, because we have a common patrimony. And, regardless of where you are, rules do shift at times’’.
‘’You be in the centre of the ring, people know you. But the most important thing is that if we do not deepen our accountability process, our effective and efficient resource management system, we will suffer a great loss. So, the earlier we understood this and decided to work together, the better for us’’ Mr Salam stated.
